Thickness dimension question

Postby PaulHunt » Tue Apr 03, 2018 8:57 pm

Hi all. I am a new member and purchased my first set of plans (front end loader) from ToysandJoys. Unlike books I’ve used to make toys, I cannot see a thickness dimension for most of the parts. What am I missing? Thank you!

Paul:

First off welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks here.

As to the plans, when I built this model, where the size was not clear, I just used the plans for the measurement. They are almost always full scale (unless noted). For example the cab panels appear to be 3/16 panels.

Hope this helps

Hi PH, As you have the plans, I'm hoping I'm not crossing boundaries... If you are familiar with SketchUp I do have that model (#67) in it... At least it will give you a 3D perspective and as the model was traced off the plan, as suil8r stated, the plans are accurate. Just drop me a PM if you would like the link.
There are two ways of doing things,,, My way or the right way.
